Position Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated SCADA Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software applications in the process and controls market. Your focus will primarily be on SCADA and AVEVA (InTouch, System Platform) for the municipal water and wastewater industry. Your role will require strong project management skills, effective communication and the ability to identify and mitigate project challenges.

This position requires 10% travel within Oklahoma and Arkansas territories.

Key Duties And Essential Functions
  • Lead project planning, including defining project scope, goals and deliveries.
  • SCADA PLC design and programming, specifically AVEVA (InTouch, System Platform)
  • Serial, Fiber Optic, Radio and Cellular communication implementation
  • OIT, HMI and SCADA system graphic application design and configuration
  • Historical database design and development
  • Reporting packages design and development
  • Assist with development of programming standards
  • Startup and troubleshooting support for SCADA field service technicians
  • Support diagnosis of errors or technical problems and help determine proper solutions
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Work with senior level Programming Engineer to learn and develop programming skills.
  • Assist with communications network commissioning including fiber optic, radio telemetry, broadband, and other associated technologies.
  • Complete project documentation per company standards and project specific requirements.
  • Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases as well as for aftermarket support.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Technology Degree or equivalent field experience related to position.
  • Field or classroom experience in SCADA, required.
  • Field or classroom experience in AVEVA (InTouch, System Platform), required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office Word, Excel and Access.
  • Understanding of computer networking.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Innovative with a strong desire to learn additional skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to multi-discipline teamwork and a positive attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform on-site startup and support services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, as required (estimated 10%)
  • Rockwell and VTSCADA experience is a plus
Physical Demands And Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. This position has been designated as safety-sensitive because the individual performs duties that directly affect the health and safety of the employee, coworkers, customers, and the general public.

These Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Operate and maintain pumps, valves, and process control systems.
  • Operate DOT-regulated vehicles and heavy equipment (e.g., crane trucks, trailers).
  • Required to comply with FMCSA drug and alcohol testing if operating CDL-class vehicles.
  • Work in confined spaces, trenches, and at heights.
  • Participate in or supervise entry into tanks, manholes, or vaults.
  • Must monitor gas levels, entry permits, and rescue procedures.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals and pressurized systems.
