About Security Constructors

Security Constructors, a Fence OKC company, is a growing perimeter security construction firm headquartered in Oklahoma City. We operate offices in OKC, Tulsa, and Springfield, MO, with a significant and expanding presence across West Texas. We specialize in designing and building high‑security perimeter solutions for the nation’s most critical facilities, electric substations, data centers, military installations, federal facilities, and beyond. With a strong regional footprint and an aggressive growth trajectory, we are building the team to match our ambition.

Joining Security Constructors now means getting in early on something that is scaling with real opportunity to grow alongside the company.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned, driven Estimator to join our estimating team. This position will play a central role in winning large‑scale, high‑profile work. This is not a back‑office role—you will be at the front, estimating complex projects across substations, data centers, military installations, and other critical infrastructure environments. If you bring the experience, the work ethic, and the capacity to run hard on multiple bids simultaneously, this is a role where you will have an immediate impact.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead the full estimating process on projects ranging from $1M to $10M+, from initial bid review through final submission.
  • Review bid packages, plans, and specifications for perimeter security construction projects including substations, data centers, and military/government facilities.
  • Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and vendors to gather pricing and ensure scope clarity.
  • Manage multiple bid deadlines simultaneously with precision and composure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Participate in pre‑bid site walks and client meetings to develop project understanding and build relationships.
  • Identify risks, assumptions, and exclusions to protect company margins.
  • Maintain organized bid files, historical cost data, and estimating templates.
  • Support clean handoffs from estimating to operations with thorough, complete documentation.
  • Track bid results and continuously refine approach based on win/loss feedback.
What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 5–10 years of construction estimating experience, with a demonstrated track record on projects $1M+, with direct leadership experience on projects $5M and above.
  • Background bidding or managing critical infrastructure projects: substations, data centers, federal/military facilities, or similar high‑security environments.
  • Experience in perimeter security, fencing, or access control construction — strongly preferred, though not required for the right candidate.
  • Genuine willingness to become an expert in the perimeter security and fencing industry — we will invest in developing the right person.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field — preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of hands‑on estimating experience and demonstrated success will be seriously considered.

Technology Proficiency

  • Bluebeam Revu — plan markup, takeoffs, and document management.
  • Procore — project management platform experience strongly preferred.
  • Construct Connect — bid sourcing, lead generation, and subcontractor outreach.
  • Dodge Construction Network — market intelligence and project reporting.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) — advanced proficiency expected.

Character & Work Style

  • Tenacious follow‑up — you don’t let bids, leads, or open questions go unanswered. You follow up until you have what you need.
  • High capacity — you thrive managing multiple complex bids at once without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
  • Professional presence — you represent Security Constructors with confidence and credibility in every client and vendor interaction.
  • Exceptional organizational skills — your bid files, timelines, and communications are always buttoned up.
