Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Oklahoma, OK
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical Design:
Use Creo to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for mechanical systems, components, and products. - Product Development:
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design and develop new products, ensuring they meet quality and functional standards. - Product Data Management:
Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) systems to ensure all design data is accurately stored, managed, and accessible throughout the product development process. - Prototyping and Testing:
Work on prototype development, testing, and validation to ensure designs are feasible and meet technical requirements. - Design Optimization:
Continuously improve existing designs for better performance, cost‑efficiency, and manufacturability. - Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including BOMs, technical drawings, and engineering reports. - Compliance:
Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with specific experience using Creo.
Technical
Skills:
- Proficiency in Creo for 3D modelling and mechanical design.
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems to manage design files and data.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Problem‑Solving
Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot design issues, propose innovative solutions, and optimize designs. - Collaboration:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. - Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in mechanical product development from concept to production.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and other engineering standards.
- Previous experience with manufacturing processes like CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal design.
