Electrical Engineering Specialist

STV has an immediate opportunity for an Engineering Specialist in our Electrical Practice in Oklahoma City.

• Production of contract documents including plans and specifications
• Performs load and voltage drop calculations
• Develops one line diagrams and control schematics
• Understands and can review short circuit, protective devices and coordination studies
• Develops and performs load flow, power study/short circuit coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools.
• Prepares construction and design cost estimates
• Develops project specific specifications
• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing electrical systems for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants
• Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect the electrical installation

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent
• Zero (0) to Three (3) years of experience designing industrial electrical systems
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment electrical systems is a plus
• Licensed EIT (or ability to obtain)
• Knowledge of SKM or ETAP
• Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820
• Experience with 480 V and below electrical equipment (MCC and motor controls, transformers, VFDs, etc) and calculations:
  Conduit fill, voltage drop, transformer sizing, Feeder/conductor sizing, panel board and breaker sizing
• Experience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, electrical and instrumentation details
• Ability to work independently
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Autocad or Revit is a plus
• Course work in power engineering
