Electrical Engineer

Position Overview

Full‑time Electrical Engineer (NH‑0850‑03) to work for Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the 72 ABW at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role provides electrical engineering expertise to ensure all real property electrical systems and equipment on base meet user and mission requirements, improving reliability and minimizing mission disruptions.

• Provide electrical engineering expertise for 72 ABW/CE activities.
• Design and evaluate electrical systems and equipment on base.
• Plan, conduct, and record site/facility surveys and inspections.
• Research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; maintain good working relationships.

• 4‑year engineering degree from an accredited college.
• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Professional knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
• Knowledge of other engineering disciplines, architecture, and broad range of construction standards, methods, and techniques.
• Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements, program planning, budgeting, fiscal control, environmental principles.
• Knowledge of automated data processing concepts and systems capabilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is recommended but not required.

Salary Range: $89,508 – $138,370 yearly with locality. Job Open Date: 6/11/2026. Job Close Date: 6/24/2026.
