We are seeking a Drilling & Completions Engineer to support the planning, execution, and optimization of both drilling and completion operations across our operated assets. This role will be responsible for designing cost‑effective well programs, managing field execution, monitoring operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and well productivity.
The ideal candidate will have experience in unconventional shale development, horizontal drilling operations, hydraulic fracturing programs, and cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Geology, Reservoir Engineering, and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities Drilling Engineering- Design and execute drilling programs for horizontal and vertical wells.
- Develop well plans, casing designs, directional drilling programs, cementing procedures, and drilling fluid recommendations.
- Prepare and manage AFEs, drilling budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Monitor daily drilling operations and provide technical support to field personnel and contractors.
- Analyze drilling performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct post‑well reviews and implement lessons learned across future development programs.
- Design and optimize hydraulic fracturing and completion programs.
- Develop stage spacing, perforation strategies, fluid systems, and proppant loading designs.
- Collaborate with Reservoir Engineering to maximize well productivity and recovery.
- Monitor frac operations, flowback performance, and completion execution.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve well performance and economics.
- Support vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service quality management.
- Coordinate activities with Geology, Land, Reservoir, Production, and Operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Manage service providers, contractors, and operational vendors.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Identify and implement new technologies and best practices to improve field performance.
- Provide technical recommendations supporting field development planning and capital allocation decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of drilling, completions, or combined D&C engineering experience.
- Experience supporting horizontal shale development programs.
- Strong understanding of drilling operations, well construction, hydraulic fracturing, and completion design.
- Experience developing AFEs, managing capital budgets, and cost tracking.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel periodically to field operations.
