Computer Engineer Level 3

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support services for resolving hardware/software issues on surface movement radar equipment at field sites
• Support technology refresh of legacy system hardware and software
• Provide root cause analysis on hardware failures
• Assist with unit, regression and integration testing
• Occasional travel to airports across the nation to provide engineering support

• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years
• On‑site presence will be as required by the FAA
• 3+ years’ experience with the hardware/software development life cycle including gather requirements, development, testing and release
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to organize, present and explain information
• Excited to participate in a team environment but able to work well individually
• Self‑motivated to deliver quality products with limited direction and guidance
• Understands the importance of collaboration with other team members
• Ability to adapt to/learn how to use new systems and custom software
• Ability to pass an FAA background investigation
• Ability to travel 25% of the time depending on the needs of the business

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required. The degree must be from a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum.
• Knowledge of radar operations and RF is a plus
• Software programming experience using object‑oriented languages such as JAVA, C++, GO or C# is desirable
• Working knowledge of test equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, or other data acquisition equipment
• Experience using software version control software such as GIT and issue tracking software such as JIRA
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
