Performs day-to-day operations for Coiled Tubing Directional Drilling Operations. Responsible for operating equipment and troubleshooting problems that occur occasionally. Performs engineering functions related to well services. Position is based out of Oklahoma City, OK with field operations across the US.
Responsibilities- Performs and supervises various aspects of Coiled Tubing Directional Drilling operations, which may include pre-job and preparation, mobilization, rig up, onsite operations, rig down, onsite maintenance, safety, environmental assurance, demobilization, and post-job inventories and maintenance.
- Safely and dependably care for, deploy, and retrieve bottom hole assembly (BHA) components at job sites.
- Meticulously observe BHA feedback during operation to make careful adjustments and optimize performance.
- Effectively operates data acquisition systems with both depth-based and time-based logs.
- Analyzes, prepares and oversees the execution of engineering deliverables.
- Responsible for the accuracy and completion of data in deliverable reports.
- Creates and maintains project status reports and change orders.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates project technical and management aspects.
- Accountable for the successful completion of Coiled Tubing Directional Drilling projects.
- Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project internal and external clients.
- Assists in the preparation of project proposals and quotes.
- Participates in client meetings and resolves client/engineering and management project issues.
- Reviews and approves project client invoices.
- Ensures effective client communications.
- Budgets monitoring.
- Analyzes internal and external customer needs and uses CPC/CES/MERC Engineering tools/resources to provide safe and effective recommendations/solutions.
- Trains personnel in the use of new or modified software or equipment.
- Develops and implements new and/or unique solutions to problems presented.
- Understands and performs pre-job and post-job inspections, as needed.
- Independently conducts required meetings (onsite and off) using independent judgment and discretion to identify specific topics to be addressed at each meeting.
- Answers questions raised by customers and colleagues and takes follow-up action when necessary to resolve issues that arise during operations or occurrences.
- Follows manager's guidance concerning all Coiled Tubing Directional Drilling related operations.
- Ensures that all equipment assigned is properly functioning and all applicable procedures and tests are conducted in compliance with company standards.
- Evaluates issues raised by management and exercises independent judgment and discretion to determine the proper protocol for implementing changes when necessary.
- Complies with all applicable CES Standards, SOPs, Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
