LSB is seeking a Process Engineering Co‑Op to join our Corporate Manufacturing Technologies Team with an anticipated start date of July 2026 and end date of Dec 2026. The Co‑Op will work closely with Senior Process Engineers and the VP of Manufacturing Technology and will be located at the OKC corporate office. Some travel will be required.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives that drive innovation, operational excellence, operational reliability, and sustainability across our manufacturing network.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the execution of LSB’s digital transformation initiatives.
- Participate in gathering and analyzing data aimed at assessing asset performance, process safety, and equipment reliability.
- Help in developing digital tools to support health monitoring/optimization and efficient troubleshooting.
- Support early‑phase capital project work, including feasibility assessments, data analysis, and technology evaluations.
- Prepare documentation, presentations, and technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Hands‑on experience with real‑world process engineering challenges
- Exposure to corporate‑level manufacturing strategy and decision‑making
- Mentorship from experienced professionals across engineering and operations

- Qualifying students must be in good standing as a junior or greater, majoring in Chemical Engineering and currently have a 3.2 GPA or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Interest in manufacturing innovation, digital tools, and sustainability.
- Prior internship or Co‑Op experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
- Experience or interest utilizing AI and other emerging software tools for optimization and process improvement.
- Familiarity with process safety and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, RCA).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and with data analysis tools (e.g., Aspen Hysys/Plus, Power BI) is a plus.
