Essential Functions- Execute the Statement of Work as Research Engineer for Radar Avionics Subsystem(s).
- Design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot Avionics Radar subsystems and hardware.
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
- Develop design solutions for obsolete radar and antenna hardware.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
This position may be filled at either the Principal Responsible Engineer or Sr. Principal Responsible Engineer level, depending on qualifications.
Basic Qualifications – Principal Engineer- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with no related engineering experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing radar avionics subsystems.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP), to be obtained within a reasonable amount of time.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related engineering experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience; or PhD in STEM with 1 year of related engineering experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing radar avionics subsystems.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP), to be obtained within a reasonable amount of time.
Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $. Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers.
