What You Will Do- Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.
- Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
- Investigate, analyze, and interpret data from injuries and near‑misses, ensuring corrective actions are completed on time.
- Develop and implement sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases aligned with long‑term goals.
- Act as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures, including EH&S program management.
- Perform tasks associated with EH&S compliance.
- Coordinate with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.
- Take responsibility for medical at the site.
- Organize and maintain EH&S policies to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships across specialized departments to maintain EH&S compliance and meet RTX requirements.
- Manage a team of experienced EH&S professionals.
- Own the execution of long‑term strategy (3+ years) and operational direction for a modest‑sized business.
- Focus on tactical and operational plans with short‑ to medium‑term focus (≤1‑2 years).
- Influence others outside your job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Implement initiatives that drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct in‑depth analysis of the site for environmental opportunities to manage permits and reporting criteria.
- Lead audits of the EH&S management system across a multi‑tenant campus.
- Lead communication of global EH&S initiatives and performance to EH&S professionals and upper‑level management at the site.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant EH&S experience, or an advanced degree with 10+ years of relevant EH&S experience.
- U.S. citizenship (required).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental engineering, occupational safety & health, environmental management, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
- Strong understanding of factory equipment, manufacturing, field safety, and EH&S management systems.
- Continuous Improvement experience (e.g., CORE, ACE, Six Sigma, LEAN) strongly desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EH&S regulatory and management systems, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding air, storm water, wastewater, and hazardous waste.
- Additional certifications such as CSP, CIH, P.E., or CHMM strongly preferred.
- Relocation assistance is available.
- Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
