Aircraft Avionics Tech III
The Avionics Technician III is an entry-level position ideal for new graduates from Avionics or A&P technology schools. Also ideal for mechanics with less than five years of aircraft experience. Our Step-Level Progression training program can help you acquire your FAA airframe license.
Work Location:
Onsite at AAR (at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK)
Schedule:
Full-time/non-exempt and variable, 40 – 50-hour work week. Supervisor determines shift/days required, but we can discuss in the interview process. Typically, more flexible candidates will be preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform basic aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks under supervision
- Ensure aircraft are safely maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards
- Use FAA approved/accepted data proficiently
- Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements
- Perform avionics repairs as assigned while meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and/or mechanical drawings
- Use a PC, iPad and basic computer applications and programs
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications:
- Primary Requirements:
- 2+ years avionics experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Some general maintenance experience (including relevant experience outside of aviation)
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are crucial
- Able to skillfully use the minimum tools required
- Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing)
- Preferred Requirements:
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license (A&P)
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR
