Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems / Engineer Systems. This position will be located on-site at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Oklahoma City, OK. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Systems Engineering organization.
This role involves technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Systems (T01) or Engineer Systems (T02).
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Systems (T01)- Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
- Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar STEM degree.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre‑requisite) as well as Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period of time.
- A final U.S. Government Secret security clearance is required to start.
- Be completing or have completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027, or hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and have 2 years of Systems Engineering experience by August 2027.
- Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar STEM degree.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre‑requisite) as well as Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period of time.
- A final U.S. Government Secret security clearance is required to start.
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 / 4.0 or higher.
- Previous internship/co‑op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities such as professional, community, or extracurricular involvement.
- Associate Engineer Systems: $62,300 – $93,500 per year.
- Engineer Systems: $75,100 – $112,700 per year.
