The OpportunityCenergistic is seeking a degreed Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC systems, building automation, and energy performance initiatives.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to learn, contribute, and grow under experienced mentorship.
What You'll DoSupport development and implementation of energy conservation standards and best practices
Assist with HVAC, mechanical, and BAS system optimization efforts
Review control strategies and sequences of operation under guidance
Analyze HVAC and BAS data to identify performance opportunities
Support commissioning and measurement & verification activities
Collaborate with engineering teams and client stakeholders
Assist with technical reports and performance analysis
Participate in training and mentorship programs
Ensure compliance with codes and standards
Travel: 5–8%
What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
0–2 years of experience or relevant internships
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and thermodynamics
Familiarity with building automation systems is a plus
Strong analytical and communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow under mentorship
Preferred QualificationsEIT certification or progress toward FE exam
Internship experience in HVAC or building systems
Interest in energy conservation and sustainability
