Project Engineering Manager - Water/Wastewater Conveyance

The TeamThe Governments & Community practice partners with public-sector clients to deliver innovative, integrated planning, design, and construction solutions for critical infrastructure and environmental services. The team is recognized for its leadership in water supply, wastewater, and conveyance-related engineering services.
The Project Engineering Management group collaborates closely with clients to align people, processes, technologies, and data-driven insights to modernize water infrastructure, optimize asset performance, meet regulatory and performance goals, reduce costs, and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large or multiple concurrent projects
- Support research and evaluation of equipment and material selections
- Perform complex engineering calculations using established methods and standards
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines
- Lead production teams, coordinate cross-discipline activities, and serve as Engineer of Record or Responsible Charge as applicable
- Identify key client priorities and project drivers for moderately complex projects
- Communicate client needs and concerns to project teams and develop effective solutions
- Support business development, proposal development, and pursuit activities
- Manage project changes directly with clients under the direction of the Project Manager
- Lead large, multi-discipline teams to successfully deliver project objectives
- Provide technical guidance for complex and large-diameter water and wastewater conveyance projects
- Drive practical, innovative solutions to meet project goals
- Review engineering work performed by junior and mid-level staff
- Mentor team members and support performance management and professional development
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Prior engineering consulting experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering multi-discipline water and wastewater conveyance projects
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record reviews, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Hybrid or flexible work arrangements may be available after the first 90 days, based on business needs, performance, and manager discretion
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use
- Ability to utilize video and audio conferencing tools for internal and external collaboration
- Travel to client sites as required
