Overview
WSB is a design and consulting firm specializing in Transportation, Community Planning, Environmental, Energy, Municipal, and Construction services. We are seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our growing team and contribute to groundbreaking projects across the United States. Responsibilities- Assist in the design and coordination of roadway projects for government agencies (City, County, ODOT).
- Perform design calculations, cost estimates, and develop design specifications, alignment and profile design, and prepare plans.
- Attend client meetings and take meeting minutes.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment; occasional travel or field visits may be required.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar accredited program.
- 1–4 years of experience in Transportation engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) is required and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months of the start date.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to prepare, read, and understand construction plans and technical documents; functional understanding of design software packages, specifically MS Excel, MS Word, and preferably Micro Station.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Transportation Engineering Internship experience preferred.
- Availability to work 40 hours a week and to work in the posted location.
