Manager Engineering 2 (Product Support Technical Integration Manager)

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Engineering 2 (Product Support Technical Integration Manager) to join our diverse team of professionals. This leadership position will be full‑time in the office and located in San Diego, CA;
El Sund­go, CA;
Palmdale, CA; or Oklahoma City, OK.

This role will support the Product Support Engineering Integration & Execution (EI&E) and lead the Technical Integration team. The Manager will coordinate priorities between multiple Operating Units, ensure high‑quality engineering analyses and logical hand‑offs, develop talent, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and act as Control Account Manager (CAM) for the team. The Technical Integration team consists of project integrators who align and execute tasks in support of the Operating Units’ schedules and goals, including specialty technical integrators who manage high‑complexity or high‑risk subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Product Support EI&E Director and OU Program Managers with their objectives
  • Serve as the technical integration authority on Product Support tasking for the OUs
  • Provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to team members
  • Coordinate with other integration leaders to share best practices and maintain alignment
  • Monitor shifting industry best practices, procedures, and USG guidance documents to generate opportunities and influence Statement‑of‑Work scopes
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Program/Project Management, and other functions to ensure high‑quality, technically sound analyses are delivered on schedule
  • Formally present technical status, solutions, risks, and opportunities to leadership and the customer
  • Act as CAM for technical integration team work packages as needed
  • Support and shape proposal activities

Travel up to 25% may be required. There is no remote, hybrid, or telework available for this position.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and at least 9 years of related Project Management and/or Engineering experience, or 7 years with a Master’s degree in STEM
  • Experience driving process changes and leading multi‑functional teams on complex tasks, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
  • Must hold an active US Government Secret clearance with a completed background investigation within the last 5 years, or be currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret clearance
  • Compliance with Program Access (PAR) requirements within a reasonable timeframe, as defined by the company
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current active in‑scope DoD Top Secret clearance with S1 or V2 special access
  • Experience with Contracts, Program Management, Risk and Issue Management, or the government acquisition lifecycle
  • Knowledge of logistics support elements such as Logistics Support Analysis, Maintenance Planning, Modeling & Simulation, Support Equipment Engineering, Prognostics & Health Management, Low‑Observable design, Obsolescence Management, Training Systems, Technical Data, Support Hardware, Field Support, and Product Support Management
