The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a  
** Mechanical System Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced)
** to join the  
** Airplane Systems Engineer Team
** located in  
** Oklahoma City, Oklahoma** .

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the  
** Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2)
** program.

* Position Responsibilities:

* ** Associate Level (Level
2)*
* - Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment

- Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers

- Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations

- Performs spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems

- Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems

- Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts

- Works under general supervision.

** Experienced Level (Level
3)*
* - Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design

- Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups

- Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

- Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

- Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation

- Trains others

- Works under general direction.

** This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.*
* ** Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):*
* ** Associate Level (Level
2):*
* - Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

- 1+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry

- 1+ years of design or analysis experience.

** Experienced Level (Level
3):*
* - Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

- Practical experience and knowledge of Environmental Control Systems (ECS)

- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis

** Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):*
* - Active U.S. Secret Clearance

- FORTRAN or Sinda Fluent experience

- Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or Finite Difference Thermal Analysis

- Environmental Control Systems (ECS) testing experience

- Qualification and Certification experience with FAA or EASA

- Experience with analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong presentation and documentation skills

- Willingness to travel internationally.
