Principal Engineer Electronics
Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Engineer Electronics. The Principal Engineer Electronics will be responsible for developing and executing the program.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert for Avionics Subsystem(s)
- Designing, analyzing, configuring, testing, and documenting VDDs and Interface Control Documents related to the Avionics subsystems Mission Planning
- Implementing Engineer Change Notice, creating XREF files, and working with multiple databases
- Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and Mission Planning requirements
- Being knowledgeable with database and metric development
- Working to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware
- Travel up to 25%
This position may be filled at either the Electronics Engineer OR Principal Electronics Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related engineering experience
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics weapons subsystems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Primary Level Salary Range: $75,100.00 - $. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
