Commissioning Manager

SNIPEBRIDGE is a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities. We work as an exclusive partner to leading AEC and technology organizations that are advancing the built environment through innovation, technical rigor, and transformative work.

Our client operates within the fast-moving data center and digital infrastructure sector, where engineering, construction, technology, energy, and operations come together to support always-on environments. Its multidisciplinary teams plan, design, deliver, and operate complex facilities with a strong focus on reliability, safety, scalability, and efficient use of power and cooling. The work calls for close coordination across technical disciplines and offers the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure that supports the continued growth of cloud computing, AI, and connected services.

The Commissioning Manager will lead the structured verification of mission-critical systems from design review through startup, functional testing, integrated systems testing, and turnover. This is a highly visible role for someone who can connect design intent, field execution, operations readiness, and reliable facility performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, scopes, schedules, scripts, checklists, and issue logs
  • Review design documents, submittals, sequences of operation, and controls narratives for testability and performance
  • Coordinate factory testing, installation verification, prefunctional checks, startup, functional testing, and integrated systems testing
  • Lead commissioning meetings and align owners, designers, contractors, vendors, and operations teams
  • Verify critical electrical, mechanical, controls, life-safety, and monitoring systems against project requirements
  • Document deficiencies, drive corrective action, and maintain clear evidence of closure
  • Support training, operating-procedure development, seasonal testing, and final turnover
  • Promote safe testing practices in energized and operational environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of commissioning, startup, testing, or mission-critical facility experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, backup power, cooling, controls, and integrated system dependencies
  • Experience developing functional performance and integrated systems test procedures
  • BCxP, CxA, CCP, PE, or comparable commissioning credential preferred
  • Strong technical writing, leadership, issue-management, and client communication skills
  • Ability to travel regularly and work around project startup and testing schedules

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and must already possess long-term work authorization.
