Professional Civil Engineer

Our client has over 100 years of experience specializing in land surveying and engineering nationwide. They offer civil engineering, land surveying, environmental science and permitting, landscape architecture, and construction management and inspection services. They are looking for a Professional Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Oklahoma City. You will manage all engineering and technical disciplines for the projects you oversee.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage complete development projects, including grading, drainage, water retention, retaining walls, sewer and wastewater, road and transportation, site layout, and utilities
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects
  • Evaluate surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify project constraints and the best approach for completing projects on time and on budget
  • Complete drainage calculations for storm sewer design, hydraulic systems, detention ponds, and water quality measures
  • Lead a design team in correcting redlines and plan revisions
  • Research and review ordinances, technical reports, and municipal, state, and federal codes to ensure compliance
  • Communicate with city, county, and state entities to ensure all requirements are met

What We're Looking For

  • Active PE license in OK, TX, or AR. Multiple state licenses are a plus
  • Local candidates work in office. Remote is available for non local candidates who can manage projects independently
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals
  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics to prepare drainage reports
  • At least five years of Civil 3D or CAD design experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HEC-RAS is a plus
  • BS or MA in Civil Engineering or a relevant field
