Engineer or Principal Engineer Electronics - Comms SMT - Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Engineer or Principal Engineer Electronics - Comms . This onsite position can be performed at Tinker AFB, OK, Rancho Bernardo, CA, Palmdale, CA or Melbourne, FL .

This position may be filled at either the Engineer (Level
2) or Principal Engineer (Level
3) levels, depending upon the qualifications below.

• Performing and executing Statement of Work (SOW) as a Supplier/Subcontract Manger (SMT) Communications (COMMs) Avionics Subsystem(s)
• Responsibilities include the ability to manage the program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and AV design, test, document and Avionics COMMs subsystems hardware requirements
• Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
• Collaborate with Subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
• Work to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.
• Travel up to 25%
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

• Basic qualifications for an Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with no experience.
• Basic qualifications for a Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems

• Active US Government Secret clearance
• Active Special Program Access (SAP)
