Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Bell & Associates has been engaged to find our client their next Controller. Our client is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Group Financial Controller to lead a subsidiary’s accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance functions across multiple brands and entities. This role is a key financial leadership position that partners closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and scalable financial processes.

The Group Financial Controller will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, tax, treasury, ERP systems, and select HR‑related financial administration, while leading and developing a high‑performing finance team.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across four brands of one of the Company’s subsidiaries
• Prepare and review consolidated internal financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP for the Group
• Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures
• Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
• Support growth initiatives and operational efficiency through financial analysis

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions, including intercompany activity, and leases
• Maintain, enhance, and document accounting processes, policies, and internal controls
• Drive process improvements and scalability as the business grows

• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on income tax, sales/use tax, VAT, and other statutory filings
• Support cash management, banking relationships, and treasury activities
• Assist with tax planning initiatives and audit support as needed

• Design, implement, and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting requirements across jurisdictions
• Support contract review and financial compliance in partnership with legal and executive leadership

• Own and manage the Acumatica ERP system, including system maintenance and annual upgrades
• Manage ERP‑related vendors and integrations (e.g., Logan Consulting, Avalara, SPS Commerce)
• Serve as the primary finance liaison to internal IT and shared technology resources

• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff across the organization
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Partner cross‑functionally with FP&A, operations, legal, HR, and senior leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including multi‑entity environments
• Prior experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, audits, and tax compliance
• Hands‑on ERP experience:
  Acumatica experience strongly preferred
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products environments preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
• High attention to detail with the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on
