Position Introduction:
The Department of Radiological Sciences is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Senior Accountant to support the department's financial operations. This position is responsible for processing and managing physician and resident pay, reconciliating payroll reports, and ensuring timesheet accuracy. The role also includes preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, completing cash flow analyses, and monitoring departmental accounts to ensure appropriate spending activity.
Key responsibilities include processing cost transfers, reconciling all charges, entering invoices for payment, making deposits, and ensuring all PCARD transactions are accurately recorded in People Soft. The Senior Accountant will maintain complete purchase documentation, assign correct GLs and corresponding account information, and support the department in maintaining accurate and compliant financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills and robust excel knowledge, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced academic environment.
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the department's financial integrity and operational efficiency including internal and external audits. Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 18 hours of accounting coursework.
- 24 months experience as a professional Accountant.
