Market President – Commercial Lender

Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Market President - Commercial Lender role in the Oklahoma City, OK area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall growth, profitability, strategic direction, and reputation of the bank within an assigned geographic market. This leader develops and executes market strategies, builds and manages key commercial relationships, leads the local banking team, and drives loan, deposit, fee-income, and revenue growth while maintaining strong credit quality and regulatory compliance.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $165K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and execute the market's strategic business plan and growth objectives.
  • Drive commercial loan, deposit, treasury, and fee-income growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, executives, high-net-worth clients, and community leaders.
  • Originate and structure commercial and commercial real estate loans.
  • Oversee the quality and performance of the market's loan portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, recruit, and retain commercial bankers and other market personnel.
  • Establish annual production, profitability, and expense goals and monitor performance against budget.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market share and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Cross-sell the bank's full range of commercial, treasury, wealth, and other financial products.
  • Serve as the bank's senior representative within the local business and civic community.
  • Develop Centers of Influence and referral relationships with CPAs, attorneys, real estate professionals, business organizations, and other referral sources.
  • Participate in community organizations, boards, networking events, and business-development activities.
  • Partner with credit, treasury management, wealth management, operations, and other internal teams.
  • Ensure lending activities maintain appropriate credit quality and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, BSA/AML requirements, and applicable banking regulations.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership regarding market performance, pipeline, portfolio quality, and strategic opportunities.

You Also Bring The Following

Skills And Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of commercial banking experience, often including significant lending/business-development experience.
  • Proven track record of commercial loan and deposit production.
  • Strong credit analysis, loan structuring, and relationship-management skills.
  • Established network of business and community relationships within the market.
  • Previous experience managing and developing commercial bankers.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate and C&I lending.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance aggressive growth objectives with sound credit and risk management.
