Loan Processor

Under general supervision, the Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing approved small business loan applications and processing conditions as received from the Loan Officer. As part of the process, individuals will be responsible for reporting and analysis, communication with loan officers, monitoring of condition fulfillment, and some degree of post-closing duties such as funding advances. Key Responsibilities

• Review approved small business loan requests for accuracy and completeness
• Manage and track outstanding loan conditions and stipulations
• Work closely with Loan Officers throughout the processing and closing process
• Order and review third-party documentation, including appraisals, environmental reports, title work, and other required items
• Prepare closing packages and request necessary closing documentation
• Monitor loan files to ensure all required documentation and conditions are completed
• Process funding advances and wire transactions
• Assist with post-closing responsibilities as needed
• Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports and analysis
• Maintain accurate and organized loan documentation
• Communicate with internal departments and outside vendors to keep loans moving toward closing

• 3+ years of related loan processing, loan documentation, or lending experience preferred
• Experience with small business or commercial loans is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of loan processes, documentation, and closing requirements
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• Candidates earlier in their careers may also be considered with a degree and relevant lending/loan experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple loan files, priorities, and deadlines
• Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working closely with Loan Officers
