* * The Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL) is now accepting applications for the position of Government Records Officer. The annual salary for the position is $41,800- $46,800 based on education and experience.

* Job Summary:
** Under the direction of the Archives and Records Management Director, the Government Records Officer (Government Records Management Specialist I) is responsible for performing professional level records management services for the Oklahoma Department of Libraries’ State Records Management program. They will follow business processes and workflow strategies to assist state agencies in the efficient and economical management of records stored at the State Records Center.
Additionally, the Government Records Management Specialist I processes public land survey corner records filings and requests from landmen in accordance with Title 65 O.S. § 3-119 and 65 O.S. § 3-120.##

* Job Duties:
*** Process and monitor the intake, maintenance, and retrieval of state records at the State Records Center.
* Coordinate the transfer of records from agencies to the State Records Center and the State Archives.
* Respond to records management process related inquiries from state government entities.
* Establish and maintain relationships with state agencies to ensure retention schedules are current reflections of standards and guidelines relating to the management of government records and information.
* Assist in the formulation, implementation and review of records management policies, procedures and manuals.
* Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of records retention and disposition schedules for state agencies.##

* Minimum Qualifications:
*** Bachelor's degree and two years of records management experience; or
* Registration with the Institute of Certified Records Managers as a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and two years of records management experience; or
* Six years of experience in records management

* Preferred Qualifications:
*** Experience working in a warehouse environment managing inventory
* Knowledge of inventory control systems such as Gimmal Physical
* Knowledge of the United States Public Land Survey System and certified corner records
