Supervisory Prisoner Transportation Specialist
As a Supervisory Prisoner Transportation Specialist at the GS-0301-13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide technical guidance and expertise regarding the movement of federal prisoners and detainees; state and local government prisoners; and United States Military prisoners.
- Appraise the JPATS transportation program to ascertain if the program is operating effectively and efficiently and recommends changes and improvements.
- Participate in special studies and analysis of prisoner scheduling in order to improve the ability of JPATS to effectively carry out the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security detention management programs.
- Establish priorities and assign work to subordinates; evaluate work performance of subordinates; interview candidates for positions; and identify developmental and training needs of subordinates and take initiative to provide identified needs.
