About this Position
This position will be located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The Project Manager will assist with managing the state's Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (Flex) Program, providing leadership, technical assistance, and coordination to strengthen rural health systems, Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), and Rural Emergency Hospitals (REHs). The position oversees grant activities developed by the Director and Assistant Director of the Oklahoma Office of Rural Health, facilitates statewide collaboration among rural hospitals and emergency medical services (EMS), and supports quality improvement, financial and operational performance, and compliance with federal program goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, health policy, nursing, business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in health systems, rural health, hospital operations, or program management.
- Experience managing grants, budgets, and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rural healthcare issues, CAH operations, and quality improvement.
- Strong project management, organization, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, survey tools, and data management systems.
- Ability to travel to rural sites and statewide meetings as required.
- Master's
- Master's degree in public health, health administration, or related discipline.
- Experience working within a State Office of Rural Health, CAH, or other rural healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with HRSA Flex Program requirements, SHIP grants, and hospital quality reporting systems.
- Skills in data analytics, evaluation, and performance improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA).
