Travel Occupational Therapist

Overview

TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Oklahoma City, OK. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities to help achieve those goals.
• Assist people with various disabilities in performing different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs.
• Educate a patient’s family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods, and be able to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
