This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
DutiesThe Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, Mental Health, is currently recruiting for one (1) Staff Psychologist in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a multi-disciplinary position and selections can be made from the following:
Staff Psychologist, Senior Social Worker, and Senior Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor.

Major Duties and Responsibilities- Diagnoses mental disorders
- Conducts psychological assessments
- Treats mental disorders through a variety of modalities
- Provides adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders
- Individual, family, and group psychotherapies
- Triage/crisis management
- Behavioral health and community interventions
- Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues
The following clinical activities are performed under the close supervision of a licensed Psychologist unless the person holds a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
