Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and night shift availability.

Job Details

• Night shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00),

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 16-bed capacity,

• Patient population includes telemetry monitoring, pacemaker management, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI),

• Charting via Epic,

• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius,

• Block scheduling is not available for this position,

Job Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license, with no license holds or restrictions,

• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG/Telemetry certification (all required prior to start),

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required,

• Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) required,

• Epic EMR experience preferred,

• Valid driver's license or state-issued  a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last 3 months required for consideration,

• 2 supervisory references required for consideration,

• Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position,

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment,

• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout date requests will be accepted,

• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be outside the 75-mile radius to qualify
