NEGOTIATED SALARY SCHEDULE

FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
SAFETY-SENSITIVE: YES
POSITION SUMMARY:
To work in cooperation with appropriate district administrators, teachers, parents and students. The Speech-Language Pathologist shall be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language and hearing disorders, helping students to access the general education curriculum.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Master’s degree;
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification (Clinical Fellowship Year considered);
- Oklahoma State Department of Education certification in Speech-Language Pathology;
Oklahoma State Board licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. - Knowledge of speech and language needs of individuals from 3 – 21 years.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LANGUAGE AND GRAMMAR SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.
