You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

Shape your leadership skills by joining our supportive and collaborative team environment. This role is focused on group sales within Native and Indigenous markets as well as state and federal government markets, including understanding government per diems within resort pricing guidelines. The position has a booking goal for new group bookings and repeat business, and requires collaboration with hotel operations to ensure guest experiences meet commitments.

Participation in active sales solicitation and contributing to Yield Management strategies is expected.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Communicate accurately to operations the details needed to satisfy the contract.
  • Solicit business from representatives of respective market segments.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire employees.
  • Finalize contracts for group bookings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Promote employee empowerment and provide accurate forecasting for rolling forecasts.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Collaborate with guest and department heads to plan function details (space, publicity, schedule, food service, decorations).
  • Research market trends and opportunities through trade publications.
  • Entertain potential clients/guests and manage group booking cut-off dates.
  • Plan and conduct pre-con and post-con meetings.
  • Prepare and mail brochures and menus to prospective clients.
  • Analyze function requirements, outline hotel facilities, and quote pricing.
  • Arrange VIP amenities and participate in sales blitz activities.
  • Assist with cross-training and community engagement as assigned.
  • Obtain history on blocks of 50 rooms or more and gather competitive summaries.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and participate in annual competitor surveys.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What Are We Looking For / What You Bring To

The Role
  • 2+ years of previous full-service hotel sales experience.
  • High school diploma required; associate/bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and work closely with prospective clients.
  • Business communication skills, including preparing RFPs and contracts.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor for client and team interactions.
  • Strong time-management skills to meet client needs.
