? As an HR Generalist
, you’ll be part of the team that keeps essential public services running—by supporting employees, strengthening compliance, and making HR operations smooth, accurate, and people-focused.

What You’ll Jump IntoIn this hands-on role, you’ll support key HR functions that keep the employee experience running strong:
- Be a go-to HR partner for employees and leaders—answering questions and guiding them through policies and procedures
- Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes (new hires, changes, transfers, separations)
- Provide accurate information on state and federal laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to recruitment, benefits, FMLA, and shared leave.
- Perform agency recruitment tasks; prepare recruiting announcements, schedule interviews, complete background check forms, send rejection letters and other information concerning job vacancies.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and records with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and confidentiality
- Assist with HR processes tied to attendance policies and timekeeping expectations
- Provide employee badge administration
- Help coordinate benefits support and routine HR administrative tasks
- Partner with leadership on employee relations items and day-to-day HR support
- Payroll processing support is a plus (especially if you’ve helped with time entry, audits, or payroll coordination)
This is a role where reliability and precision really shine. The best fit will bring:
- 2–3 years of HR experience (HR Generalist, HR Specialist, HR Coordinator—anything hands-on and HR operations focused)
- A reputation for being dependable and consistent
—including strong adherence to attendance expectations - Strong attention to detail (you catch what others miss)
- Confidence working with policies, documentation, and confidential information
- Great communication skills and a service mindset—calm, professional, and helpful
- Bonus points if you have experience supporting payroll processing
, timekeeping, or HR systems
- A predictable, stable schedule: M–F 8:00–4:30
