Human Resources Coordinator (HRC)
Full-Time | On-Site | M-F 8am - 5pm
Salary Range: $60K-$70K
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.
Position OverviewAs a Human Resources Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of the Human Resources department in coordination with the regional Human Resources Director and the Corporate Human Resources team, payroll and recruitment departments. In this role, you will be part of a group of committed HR professionals where you can utilize your education and skills while making a real impact as a strategic partner.
AdditionalDuties
- Maintain and update employee files:
Personnel, Employee Health, Agency and Contract Services with accurate and complete information and maintain the HR grid and required tracking - Prepare and maintain employee new hire packets and ensure accurate and timely completion of the new hire process and paperwork
- Maintain postings, files, and procedures that are in compliance with federal and state statutes
- Open and distribute all incoming mail. Screen all incoming correspondence, and, in the absence of the HR Manager/Director, refer materials requiring immediate attention to the appropriate department
- Accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing with the coordination and support of corporate payroll
- Coordinate recruitment processes in compliance with the hospital’s recruitment plans
- Proactively address employee concerns and, with the HR Manager or HR Director, coordinate any necessary investigations
- Process and maintain all worker’s compensation claims in a timely manner and according with the company’s Return to Work program
- Process all unemployment requests, FMLA and Leave of Absences in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or a combination of education and experience required
- Two or more years of experience in Human Resources
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as computer applications relating to Human Resources Functions required
- Exposure to a broad range of functions required. Previous HR experience in a health care facility with exposure to Joint Commission and CMS preferred
- Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR functions, Payroll Administration, and state and federal employment laws
- Must be detail-oriented with expertise in problem solving, observation, group dynamics, and interpersonal relations
