The City of Midwest City is currently accepting applications for Part Time Computer Technician in the IT Department. The incumbent performs functions related to computer system support to include computer hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and repair. In addition, the Computer Technician facilitates the needs of all city employees by completing requests submitted through the IT work request system and is assigned projects or to a project team.
Responsibilities- Provide computer system support including hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Process IT work requests submitted by city employees; participate in projects or project teams as assigned.
- High school graduate with A+ certification or equivalent experience required.
- A technical associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Software skills: basic 10-Key, alphanumeric data entry, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable.
- This position is safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
- Starting Salary: $16.30 per hour.
