Salary Range: $62,000- $75,000 DOE
Position SummaryThis role is a technically driven position with a strong retail application, prioritizing platform management, system integrations, digital operations, and the build‑out of new sales channels. The eCommerce Manager is responsible for establishing and managing the Museum Store’s online retail presence, including the setup and launch of third‑party platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and social commerce channels. The role works closely with the Senior Buying Manager, Senior Shipping Logistics Manager, and collaborates frequently with internal Marketing and IT teams to ensure effective execution of digital strategies, platform performance, and operational workflows.
This position does not make buying decisions but supports all technical and operational aspects of eCommerce. It reports to the Associate Director, Museum Store, who provides overall direction and approves all strategies.
Key Responsibilities Team Collaboration- Work as an integral member of the Retail Team, supporting cross‑functional retail initiatives.
- Partner closely with the Senior Buying Manager to ensure accurate and optimized product listings.
- Coordinate regularly with the Senior Shipping Logistics Manager on fulfillment workflows, shipping requirements, and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate frequently with Marketing and IT to support campaigns, technical integrations, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in cross‑departmental planning to ensure eCommerce needs are represented.
- Foster a collaborative, solution‑focused environment.
- Maintain and support the museum’s eCommerce platform (Big Commerce or similar).
- Open and manage support cases as needed to resolve technical or integration issues.
- Implement SEO and conversion optimization strategies with Marketing.
- Support and manage Retail Team eCommerce initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT on technical requirements, integrations, and system improvements.
- Create and upload all eCommerce product listings, including item setup, descriptions, specifications, images, metadata, and related digital assets.
- Remove or archive discontinued items to maintain accurate online inventory and ensure a clean guest experience.
- Establish and configure new third‑party marketplace accounts (Amazon, eBay, etc.).
- Build technical integrations and operational workflows required to launch and maintain new sales channels.
- Ensure brand consistency across newly developed platforms.
- Work frequently with Marketing on listings, marketplace content, and promotional strategy.
- Recommend future platforms that align with revenue growth.
- Configure and monitor analytics dashboards (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Seller Central).
- Implement and assess A/B testing for product pages and UX improvements.
- Manage product listings, metadata, and digital assets for accuracy and performance.
- Knowledge of the creative cloud suite - including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and other products.
- Coordinate with customer service to ensure smooth post‑purchase workflows.
- Support targeted digital campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with all eCommerce regulations and security standards.
- Assist in integrating eCommerce systems with the POS system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of eCommerce management experience.
- Prior experience setting up and launching Amazon Seller Central, eBay, or similar marketplaces.
