IT Support, Systems Engineer
This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
Defines and validates requirements for new and revised hardware and software systems. Designs, develops and tests applications. Performs trade studies and other forms of analysis to formulate optimum solutions for users. Develops and deploys new or revised processes in support of new computing systems, including documentation and training. Supports the development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes.
Facilitates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements. Works under general direction with the senior manager.
This role is responsible for creating Azure Dev Ops (ADO) teams and boards and serves as a centralized point of contact for ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects.
Responsibilities- Manages Team Structure & Naming conventions
- Manages Area Path structure (controls read/write privileges and acts as a core ontology for WBS)
- Manages Common Iteration Path structure & standards (enables all dashboard widgets and standardized queries)
- Teach how to use ADO (customization requests often stem from lack of knowledge of out‑of‑the‑box functionality)
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance of Azure Dev Ops projects to ensure smooth operation
- Monitor project performance and implement necessary updates and optimizations
- Identify opportunities for AI integration within existing tools to enhance functionality
- Provide training and support to team members on Azure Dev Ops best practices and AI applications
- Address any issues that arise within the Azure Dev Ops environment
- Support various BGS maintenance engineering organization programs across 6 sites and over 40 platforms (military and weapons)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with various levels of the organization
- Azure Dev Ops experience of 3+ years
- Software coding
55 - 60 USD hourly
