  • Enterprise semantic modeling: champion reusable, certified “golden” datasets; enforce DAX and modeling conventions; drive performance tuning (Verti Paq, cardinality reduction, calculation patterns)
  • Introduce and govern use of AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot for Power BI, automated DAX generation, and intelligent model documentation
  • Observability & telemetry: implement service-level monitoring, usage analytics, and audit automation using Admin APIs/Power Shell; publish adoption and SLA dashboards for leaders
  • Data agent & AI-readiness: prepare semantic models for Copilot and Fabric data agent (Prep for AI schemas, metadata, synonyms) to improve natural-language querying and agentic analytics
  • Cross-platform connectivity: oversee connectivity patterns (e.g., SAP HANA, Snowflake, SQL), gateway configuration, and hybrid modes (Direct Lake/Direct Query/Composite) with documented trade-offs
