The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI science team is responsible for growing OCI’s Generative AI, Agent and Analytics services.

Our goal is to build foundational technologies and enable customers to apply AI to solve their business problems with Oracle’s assistance and expertise in Generative AI, Database and Analytics. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with teams of applied scientists and engineers to deliver high quality Generative AI models, Data Agent, Analytics solutions and services that delight our customers with the confidence that their data is safe and protected.

• Research and Development:
  Conduct in‑depth research on Generative AI and Data Analytics, focusing on Large Language Models (architecture, models, representation, evaluation, optimizations, planning, among others), and other emerging approaches.
• AI Data and Agent Development:
  Design, develop, and train state‑of‑the‑art LLM models and Agents that meet the highest quality standards.
• Team Leadership:
  Provide technical leadership and mentor junior scientists.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate Generative AI capabilities into various applications and products.
• Innovation:
  Identify new opportunities for Generative AI and Data Analytics and explore emerging technologies for Unstructured and Structured Data.
• Stay Updated:
  Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements in this space.

• PhD or Master’s degree and 5+ years relevant experience in Computer Science (focused on LLM, Agent, Analytics) or related fields.
• Strong publication record, including as a lead author, in top‑tier journals or AI/LLM/Analytics conferences.
• Extensive experience in NLP, LLM, VLM, Retrieval, Enrichment and Analytics.
• Proven track record of leading research and development projects.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms and architectures.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
