Systems Administrator (Server Admin)
Location: Tinker AFB, OK
Clearance: Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain)
OverviewWe are seeking a Systems Administrator (Server Admin) to support enterprise server environments for the U.S. Air Force. This role focuses on day-to-day administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux servers in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily administration and support of Windows Server (2008/2012/2016) and Linux/Unix systems
- Perform system backups and restores and ensure data integrity
- Support SAN environments and assist with storage-related tasks
- Conduct preventative maintenance on servers and associated hardware
- Monitor system performance and escalated issues as needed
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory
- Assist with server installations, upgrades, and hardware relocation
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, and reporting
- Troubleshoot issues and manage ticketing support tasks
- U.S. Citizenship
- CompTIA Security+ (or ability to obtain before start)
- 1–2 years of Windows server administration experience
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with VMware vSphere
- Power Shell scripting experience
- Familiarity with DoD or Air Force IT environments
- Experience with SAN, backups, and enterprise hardware
- Windows 2019 and 2022 sever
- IIS-Internet Information Services.
