Our mission is to provide excellent healthcare to American Indians. We do this by putting people first, providing quality services, and maintaining our Integrity and Professionalism.

We are looking to add compassionate team players to our growing team as we continue to work toward our goal of becoming the national model for American Indian Health Care.

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is implementing Epic—and we're looking for an experienced Epic Application & Technical Manager to lead the teams responsible for building, configuring, integrating, and supporting one of the nation's leading electronic health record platforms.

This is more than an IT leadership role. You'll guide highly skilled application analysts and technical specialists while partnering with clinical, operational, and executive leaders to transform the way healthcare is delivered across our organization.

If you're passionate about healthcare technology, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and thrive in collaborative leadership environments, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations and task assignments of Application Coordinators, technical analysts, and interface specialists
  • Track analyst certification progress, build completion percentages, and system configuration metrics to ensure project milestones are met
  • Identify and manage technical dependencies between system build, hardware deployment, and external legacy software components
  • Partner with the Project Director to maintain project scope, schedule, and quality within specific application groups
  • Coordinate integrated testing phases, technical dress rehearsals, and cross-application validation events
  • Oversee the ITS change management process for the Epic environment, submitting, reviewing, and implementing approved modifications
  • Liaise with Epic counterparts and technical support engineers to resolve complex build or integration blockages
  • Monitor system environment capacity and plan for long-term software upgrade and patch execution cycles
Qualifications
  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Information Technology, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be substituted, with one (1) year of additional relevant experience accepted in lieu of each year of required education.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or team lead experience overseeing application analysts, technical teams, or healthcare IT professionals preferred. Experience leading one or more Epic application teams through a full lifecycle implementation, major upgrade, or optimization initiative preferred.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the Epic Sphinx Assessment as part of the selection process to be eligible for the position. Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or optimizing Epic or other enterprise electronic health record systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating application build, integrated testing, system validation, change management, software deployments, and production support activities.
