General Description: Assists computer support technicians and audio‑visual services technicians in troubleshooting and supporting approved computer software, hardware, and audio‑visual equipment.
Reports To: None
Job Duties- Prepare computers for deployment, including software and hardware installation.
- Perform installation and setup of computers and audio‑visual equipment for students and employees.
- Provide routine and emergency maintenance of desktop and audio‑visual technology.
- Serve as on‑call computer and audio‑visual support technician.
- Maintain accurate service records using the ticketing system.
Abide by board and college policies, contribute to a safe environment, adhere to safety procedures, complete quarterly health and safety training, and participate in emergency drills.
Requirements- Must be a current OCCC student enrolled in at least 6 hours per semester (Fall/Spring) or 3 hours (Summer), or a federal work‑study award holder.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience using and maintaining Windows OS.
Currently enrolled in OCCC’s Computer Science program.
Working Conditions- Medium physical activity: occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent movement across campuses, standing, and operating equipment.
- Requires visual acuity for software and hardware troubleshooting.
- Indoor office, classroom, theater, or storage spaces; sometimes close quarters.
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; schedule may vary by availability.
