Technical

Skills:
  • Proficiency with PC Windows-based software
  • Knowledge of computer programming, logic, systems analytic and mathematical skills
  • Proficiency in Workday HCM report writing (Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields)
  • Experience with designing and implementing ETL processes and the use of ETL tools
  • Ability to work and coordinate with third parties on data-related inquiries
  • Strong experience with interface, networking, and data warehousing technologies, as well as design, relational database technologies, and performance tuning
  • Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards)
  • Strong technical experience with XML and Java
  • Knowledge of Workday implementation tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and iLoad)
  • Understand basic database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and recognize and understand impacts to downstream systems
Functional Analyst
  • Serve as the HRIS partner supporting designated HCM Areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning, Journeys, etc.
  • Provide consultation to HCM Area Experts and Platform Team members to build domain knowledge, gather requirements, achieve workflow/process improvements and provide solutions and impact analysis
  • Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities and cross-train users as needed
  • Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday
  • Configure, test, validate, and implement Business Process changes and other changes as needed in Workday
  • Assist in testing of integrations, security, and annual events
  • Assist HCM Area Experts in maintaining master data values in Workday (Example: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations, etc)
  • Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issues
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with HCM Area Experts, Platform Team members, and Colleagues as appropriate
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
  • Maintain policies and procedures and applicable documentation for all processes/tasks, including detailed SOPs in case someone needed to provide back-up responsibilities
  • Technical Analyst Manage HCM system integrations within the architecture of the HR/Finance system and middleware; crossed trained to assist with the FIN system integrations as needed
  • Provide support for HCM inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations, as well as new integrations
  • Provide support for incident management and integration monitoring
  • Perform routine break/fix support and regression testing; support the inbound/outbound interfaces to the system and middleware
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution
  • Analyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications Ensure integrations function as designed based on functional and technical requirements
  • Consult with business and technical teams about interface design and maintenance; collaborate with other experts and Platform Team members on design decisions Design and develop interfaces and conduct unit and integration tests
