We are seeking an experienced Elastic Consultant to support enterprise-scale monitoring, security, and analytics initiatives in a highly secure environment. This role will focus on designing, administering, and optimizing Elastic Stack solutions while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve visibility, detection capabilities, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Elasticsearch technologies, strong automation skills, and experience supporting compliance and cybersecurity programs within government or defense environments.

Active Secret Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack technologies, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats. Experience building dashboards, reporting solutions, and data visualizations in Kibana. Knowledge of detection engineering, alert tuning, and security analytics. Experience implementing data retention and lifecycle management policies. Scripting and automation experience with Python, Power Shell, and/or Bash. Experience supporting RMF, ATO, audit, or compliance-related activities.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), federal government, or regulated environments. Familiarity with cybersecurity operations and security monitoring programs. Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources into Elastic environments. Knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Contract duration is anticipated to be one year. Travel may be required up to 25%. The customer reserves the right to hire the consultant after 90 days. Candidates should be comfortable with the possibility of converting to a permanent role.
