Job Summary

Engineering Specialist II provides hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering-related services in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, operating system, storage, and file system issues while supporting engineering and business operations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical support for engineering systems, workstations, storage devices, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows, Mac OS, and Linux-based systems.
  • Assist with system imaging, software deployments, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Support and troubleshoot file systems, storage configurations, and RAID environments.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, procedures, and best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Follow established processes and procedures while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical assistance to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper handling of technical assets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and compliance requirements.

  • CompTIA (Net, Security), CISSP, Microsoft 365 certification, CEH, and CHFI.
  • AWS certification.
Education Requirements
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on technical experience supporting engineering, IT, or related technical environments.
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and handling technical equipment.
