Scope of Position

The Rock Administrator/IT Support Technician collaborates with other Rock Administrators to develop ministry tools and provide Rock RMS support for Crossings’ environments and staff. Responsibilities include building and supporting workflows, groups, reports, check-in configurations, security permissions, training, and data-quality processes. This role uses technology to deliver outcomes aligned with Crossings’ mission to reach people for Christ and maintains strong collaborative relationships with internal customers and critical IT service providers.

The position also provides Level 1 desktop support to all departments by installing and maintaining hardware, software, and peripherals and by troubleshooting reported computer, network-connectivity, and device issues. The position supports PC and Mac users across a multi-site organization and clinics in the Oklahoma City area and is based at the Oklahoma City location of Crossings Community Church (Crossings or CCC).

Reports to the Director, IT. This position will work collaboratively and interact regularly with various vendors/service providers and CCC staff across the various departments and ministries, venues, and campuses as well with partners of Crossings to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings’ ministries.

Rock Administrator Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, and test new Rock features and ministry processes as assigned.
  • Understand ministry needs and communicate with ministry stakeholders regarding open projects.
  • Work with a collaborative, growing team to evaluate Crossings’ ministry and operational needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Become proficient in Rock RMS through implementation, configuration, training, and ongoing learning.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity in Rock, including duplicate records, family relationships, inactive records, contact information, campus assignments, group data, and attendance data.
  • Assist with recurring data-quality audits, cleanup processes, and exception reporting.
  • Help establish, document, and follow standards for data entry and record maintenance.
  • Collaborate with ministry departments to identify and correct inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicate data.
  • Build and maintain Data Views, reports, dashboards, communication lists, and data exports that support ministry operations.
  • Gather basic reporting needs from ministry stakeholders and translate them into accurate, understandable Rock solutions.
  • Administer assigned Rock security roles and permissions using least-privilege principles.
  • Assist with periodic reviews of administrative access, security roles, and access to sensitive data.
  • Protect confidential member, donor, child, pastoral-care, and benevolence information in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Assist with testing Rock features, configurations, fixes, and version updates; document results and report identified issues.
  • Provide Rock onboarding and role-based training for staff and designated volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, videos, and other Rock training resources.
  • Communicate relevant Rock changes and reinforce organizational standards and best practices.
  • Provide follow-up support to improve adoption and appropriate use of Rock.
  • Configure, test, and maintain Rock check-in areas, schedules, groups, locations, devices, labels, and related settings across all campuses.
  • Coordinate pre-event check-in readiness testing for weekend services, promotion periods, holidays, and major ministry events.
  • Support troubleshooting and escalation of check-in issues during services and events.
