Job Description As a Sr. Business Analyst with OMES you will enjoy:

This position has responsibility for ensuring quality design and delivery of assigned projects and maintenance items focused within assigned team. They are focused on analytics at the enterprise level, assisting agencies in assessing and developing business systems and processes that affect the entire agency. They work with contributors at every level of an organization to perform discovery and build a shared understanding of organizational issues.

The Analyst III will ensure all scheduled support activities and deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of user trust, satisfaction, and confidence. A complete understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts is required.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop long-term strategies to resolve systemic problems facing users, agencies, and OMES.
  • Assist organizations in identifying and removing impediments to value delivery.
  • Assist organizations with developing and presenting value metrics.
  • Identify, document, and present technical strategies and holistic process flows.
  • Create technical and architectural diagrams.
  • Translate technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Act as agency-level agile coach, focusing on organizational change management.
  • Develop and support technology and software development systems.
  • Identify and document systems architecture.
  • Mentor, coach, and train other analysts.
  • Maintain a high level of user trust, satisfaction, and confidence.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies, technical developments, and business analysis best practices.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the work day. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business, process, data, or systems analysis.
  • Deep understanding of common SDLC methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Demonstrable understanding of holistic analysis concepts like Shu Ha Ri, Dev Ops, or Systems Thinking.
  • Demonstrable understanding of business agility principles.
  • Ability to write technical and architectural documentation.
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • A demonstrable understanding of technical and analytical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Practical experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Product Owner.
  • Relevant certifications (Scrum, PMI, ICAgile, IIBA, etc
