About Our Client:Our client is a respected legal practice with a focus on collections and litigation matters. They are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Assistant to support their collections team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Job Description:Addison Group is hiring a Legal Assistant on behalf of our client to provide comprehensive administrative, clerical, and paralegal support within their collections practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and capable of managing a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and track a large caseload of active collections files
- Serve as a primary point of contact for debtors, clients, attorneys, and court personnel
- Maintain and manage litigation and collections calendars to ensure all deadlines are met
- Prepare and draft legal documents, letters, and court-related paperwork
- Submit filings to courts and county offices and coordinate service of legal documents
- Take initiative in handling administrative, clerical, and paralegal tasks related to collections cases
- Support attorneys with case preparation and daily workflow needs
- Prior experience in collection litigation preferred
- Strong attention to detail, even when handling high volumes of work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment
This is a full-time position supporting a collections-focused legal team in a professional office setting.
